Hi!
Marina Porras Chassignet, born in Barcelona and working from Berlin, studied psychology at the University of Barcelona and visual communication at the University of the Arts Berlin, where she also completed her postgraduate master's degree in illustration. She has received various grants and scholarships, including The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia (2014), Marafiki Arts Kenya (2015), and The Danish Art Workshops Copenhagen (2017). In 2016, she co-founded the risograph-printing workshop Penthaus für schöne Formate in Berlin.
Since 2016, she has worked as a freelance illustrator across multiple disciplines, including editorial, textile, packaging, and interior design, while also taking on teaching assignments at various institutions, including the University of the Arts Berlin. Since 2022 she also works as a print workshop supervisor and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin.
Her practice spans projects and collaborations across different locations, combining freelance work, teaching, and studio practice to create a diverse and dynamic professional portfolio.
